Georges Z Markarian MD, MBA, FAANS, FACS
Dr. Markarian is an experienced neurosurgeon and leader in care delivery models and healthcare technology innovation. He previously led a group of neuroscience specialists in northeast Ohio focused on delivering highest-quality, cost-efficient care for the population they serve in the area. He completed medical school at Ohio State University and residency at the Cleveland Clinic’s Neurological Institute. Following his residency, he completed a fellowship in neuro-endovascular surgery and in 2015 earned his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a focus on entrepreneurial management and finance. He is a fellow of both the American College of Surgeons and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
Dr. Markarian’s focus has included improving care delivery, quality initiatives and patient safety. He founded Meges Health, a technology company focused on delivering remote care for acute, post-acute, transitional outpatient and chronic conditions. More recently, he has focused on building his latest startup, Sextant Health, which is dedicated to care delivery for the self-insured middle market employer.
Neha Kumar DO, MPH, DIPABLM
Dr. Neha Kumar is an osteopathic physician, board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) and in lifestyle medicine. Following the completion of her medical education and the attainment of a master’s degree in public health from Nova Southeastern University, she completed residency training in PM&R at New York Medical College. Her professional philosophy is grounded in an evidence-based approach aimed at whole-person health, enhancing functionality and improving quality of life through the six pillars of lifestyle medicine.
Dr. Kumar's commitment to enhancing patient health outcomes is reflected in her work in both clinical and non-clinical settings. Her dedication to utilization management and quality improvement has enabled her to leverage her healthcare payer experience and comprehensive health approach to improve outcomes and reduce costs. Dr. Kumar is enrolled in an MBA program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, with a focus on medical management.
