Cloud Data Engineer

Vital Incite is a dynamic quickly growing company with a strong mission to improve the efficiency of healthcare. We are searching for a Cloud Data Engineer with a deep knowledge of relational databases to migrate and maintain a new cloud data warehouse. This position will report to the VP of Technology and will be responsible for building and managing a native cloud infrastructure that will keep Vital Incite’s data separate, secure and compliant.

Responsibilities Include:

• Build the native cloud infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various sources using SQL and managed databases
• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architectures and delivery to applications efficiently
• Design, develop and test data pipeline solutions and automation
• Keep our data separate, secure, and compliant
• Define the overall solution architecture needed to implement a warehouse that ensures a high level of quality and timely insights.
• Analyze data requirements, complex source data, application data models, and determine the best methods for integrating data to support analytical needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or sufficient experience
• Advanced working knowledge of relational databases: Postgres, MySQL or SQL Server.
• Proven success with integrations between systems and cloud databases
• History of designing, building and launching extremely efficient & reliable data pipelines to move
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• Several years of experience building data pipelines or ETL processes
